Fishing

Some of the best shore angling on the South Coast of England can be found around Weymouth, Portland and the Chesil Beach. Species caught here include bass, cod, mackerel, pollack, eels and garfish. Off-shore, the "Shambles" sandbank is renowned for its catches of plaice, turbot and other species and all skippers will know of many shipwrecks where pollack, cod, ling and conger eels can be caught. Outside these areas black bream are often caught in abundance.

Weymouth Angling Centre on Trinity Road is about 20 minutes walk from our bed & breakfast in Weymouth and from here you can buy your bait and tackle, book boat trips and obtain permits for fishing in Radipole Lake.
