Cycling in and around Weymouth

Walks in Weymouth

Dorset is a great county to explore by bike with an ever increasing number of cycle routes and dedicated lanes.

The new Weymouth Relief Road has been built with a cycle lane all the way to and from Dorchester. There is also a route to Portland along the Rodwell Trail which follows the route of the old railway line.

The Tourist Information Centre in Weymouth have leaflets describing various routes in our part of Dorset. There are active travel maps available which show footpaths, bridleways and other rights of way which can be used to link to the road network.
