Our B&B in Weymouth offers elegance and charm in a quiet yet central location
We look forward to welcoming you to our home, where we hope you will feel comfortable and relaxed and have an unforgettable stay at our B&B in Weymouth.

Oaklands; "A riot of Edwardian Baroque", The Buildings
of Old Weymouth, E. Ricketts, 1976
Oaklands was built at the start of the Edwardian era and its striking architectural features would have made it one of the most important houses of its time in the area. The front of the house bears a plaque commemorating the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902 and it is even rumoured that our B&B is where the King kept his mistresses when he came to stay in Weymouth!
The beautiful Edwardian plaster mouldings on the ground floor ceilings depicting the cornucopia of classic times are elaborately coloured in pink, lime green, aubergine and gold. The original stained glass panels around the entrance have also been renovated and at the same time the plumbing and heating have been fully modernised to meet the needs of our discerning guests.
Parking
Being situated behind the main seafront buildings, Oaklands has the advantage of being in a relatively quiet area. Unlike most of the other hotel and B&B providers in Weymouth, with eight spaces for nine rooms we can almost offer one free, off-road parking space for each guest room with access at all times. There is also free road parking around our property.
If you haven't been to Weymouth before, you won't be able to appreciate the importance of this. There is almost no free road parking in Weymouth; permits are often required and even if an accommodation provider can give you a permit, it does not guarantee you a parking space. Those hotels and B&Bs that do offer limited off-road parking often need you to park one behind the other, which could mean that you need to ask two other guests to move their cars before you can get your car out.
Our B&B gives you the flexibility to come and go as you please without any worries about whether there will be a space for you when you come back later in the day.
Public Areas

Our B&B has a lounge where you can relax
You are welcome to use our guests' lounge if you wish to relax and chat with friends, have a quiet read, or browse through our numerous tourist information booklets and magazines. There is even a selection of games, jigsaws and puzzles to keep you amused on those rare occasions when it actually rains in Weymouth!
There is also a payphone available for you to use, which is situated just outside the dining room.
